Concealed Fastener Wall Panels

MBCI offers four separate concealed fastener wall panels, the Designer™ Series, ShadowRib™, Nuwall® and the FW Panel.

The Designer™ Series panels are concealed fastener wall panesl available in two distinct profiles, flat and fluted,. The ShadowRib™ panel combines aesthetics, economy and function to bring definition to metal structures. NuWall®, a tertiary concealed fastener wall panel from MBCI, combines the ease of installation in both new and retrofit applications with a pleasing aesthetic appeal. NuWall® is ideal for both new and retrofit construction. Finally, the FW Panel can be used in single skin applications or as a component of composite wall systems.

Designer™ Series

The Designer™ Series panels provide the toughness of metal while creating an attractive, flexible and functional wall or fascia panel. The Designer™ Series is offered in fluted and flat panels, which are equally effective for new construction or retrofitting existing buildings.

If your design calls for a smooth or flat wall or fascia, look to the Designer™ Series 12.0 Flat Panel. The Designer™ Series 12.0 Flat Panel offers a 1 ¾-inch deep leg providing the perfect cavity for rigid board insulation.

The Designer™ Series 16.0 Fluted Panel offers a continuous rib design with a hidden sidelap where the panels join together. Ribs are 4-inches wide and 3/8-inches deep, providing interesting shadow lines along the length of the wall. The panel legs are 1 ¾-inch deep allowing ample space for rigid board, blanket or batt insulation in the cavity.

Each panel features concealed fastened systems enhancing the appearance. One leg of the panel is attached to the structural using a concealed clip and the other leg snaps securely into the adjoining panel to lock them into position.

MBCI offers both finish warranties and weathertightness warranties. The finish warranties include the Bare Galvalume® and Galvalume Plus® Warranty, the Signature® 200 and Signature® 300 paint warranties and a Technical Bulletin about Saltwater and Marine Atmospheres.

MBCI offers several different types of weathertightness warranties and was the first company in the metal roofing industry to offer a Single Source™ warranty. Single Source™ Warranties put the complete burden for proper installation of the roof system* on MBCI from the date of substantial completion. MBCI offers three levels of Single Source™ Warranties depending on the level of project the building owner requires.

*Roof system is defined as the MBCI furnished roof panels, flashing and related items used to fasten the roof panels and flashing (including roof jack and curb attachments pre-approved in writing by MBCI) to the roof structure.


ShadowRib™

ShadowRib™ is a 3” deep panel that combines aesthetics, economy and function to bring definition to metal structures. ShadowRib™ is a proven performer and a versatile tool to the designer. Structural strength in the ShadowRib™ panel is accomplished without sacrificing appearance or design flexibility. The fluted face creates distinctive shadow lines.

Panels may be secured to the structure from the outside of the building with the ShadowRib™ concealed clip or from inside the building with an expansion fastener. Both are positive fastened methods that create a secure interlock between panel and structure.

The ShadowRib™ panel can be used for walls, fascias and equipment screens. Apply the panel over light-gauge framing, purlins, girts, structural steel and joists.

NuWall®

The NuWall® wall panel can be used for either new or retrofit construction. This concealed fastened system creates a clean, uninterrupted wall on a building. The NuWall® system is based on a 12-inch module. This means that when using NuWall® over existing metal panels, the existing panel ribs must be 6 inches or 12 inches on center.

FW-120

The FW-120 panel is a concealed fastener wall and liner panel that provides a flat appearance. FW-120 is commonly used for architectural, commercial and industrial markets. The heavy gauge offering provides for large spanning capabilities, particularly in composite wall applications. FW-120 is available in a flat profile with one bead or two beads.

Air Infiltration and Water Penetration
The FW-120 Panel has been tested by a certified independent laboratory in accordance with ASTM test procedures for Air Infiltration and Water Penetration at the sidelap. Test results show no air leakage at 1.57PSF and no water penetration at 6.24PSF differential pressure.
